Game-based Learning in Academia
 In the 21st Century the world has grown on the expansion of educational technology. Some instructional technology revolves around innovative technology and podcast emerging media.  However, the students can benefit from educational game-based learning.   Game-based simulation programs may increase student’s learning and increase their level of attention.  This will make learning fun and enjoyable for the students.   The current trend of the gaming industry is very popular in today’s society.  The gaming industry is a multi-billion dollar industry the educational industry should blend it with instructional technology.  Educational gaming theory is categorized into not being something in academic research. It is often criticized and not really taken serious with some educators in the academic field. However, you can’t deny that a user do not learn from participating in an educational game of some sort.  Game-based learning I can be interactive, virtual world & 3D environment, and computerized simulations. Studies show that educational gaming will expand and grow if implemented properly.
