The New Agora Analysis Process

The New Agora Analysis Process
The Agora is a deeply dialogued process that has been derived from the class is Athenian democracy. When I state Athenian, you have to think of Plato & Socrates ( world famous Greek philosophers) who has participated in writing and creating dialogues. Plato usually would write dialogues while Socrates would talk about the dialogues instead of writing them. Socrates created more so, talk dialogue that his philosophy was more verbal and he was able to distribute words that handled each dialogue stage. One stage, deals with the complex situations. When I heard that phrase of “talking the talk, and walking the walk;” it fitted Socrates to a “T.” However, because of his way of philosophizing, talking the talk was important to deal with many complex situations in that era.
The integrative sciences that was used to develop “Spreadthink”focused on groups of individuals working together to solve complex issues or problems. This is what is often done with project management deadlines at organizations across the globe. In IT many project management projects are formulated to help solve complex issues. For instance, when I was working as a help desk analyst; we had several projects that would come up over time. These projects were formulated to see if we were doing the following as a company:
1) Using effective technology to help with customer service issues.
2) Performing necessary software updates to correct technological errors.
3) Deliver efficient customer service solutions whenever possible.
4) Prepare for technological outages and hiccups that may exist with the current system technologies.
Therefore, we were a technical support team that had to participate not only in terms of “Spreadthink” but also “Groupthink.”According to Schreibman & Christakis “With Groupthink, which is referred to the deterioration of mental efficiency, quality of reality testing, and quality of moral judgment that results from in-group pressures. (Schreibman & Christakis, 2007). Like with many projects, there may or may not be a number of constraints but they should all include a final goal. That goal would be to get the project finalized and complete.
In addition, I have helped on the Microsoft X-box Kinect program prior to it release on November 4th 2010. That project took a lot of time, a lot of comparative game architecture platform analysis, software testing, quality software test issues, and so forth. This allowed the Microsoft team to finalize this game console and provide an innovative way of playing games minus the holding of the game console control. I can gladly say that my team have benefited from using the Spreadthink analogy and allowed us to get the job done for the millions of Kinect consumers across the globe.
