Technology Crafts According to Vinay Venkatraman

Vinay Venkatraman’s : Technology crafts  for the digitally underserved

Vinay Venkatraman aims to create technological devices and explains his vision in technology crafts. He goes in detail further when he talks about how the mobile phone, a lunchbox and a flashlight can become a digital projector for a village school, or an alarm clock and a mouse can be melded into a medical device for local triage. In the Smartphone market, the technology has been emerging and expanding within our technologically advanced society.  Vinay (Founding partner of The Copenhagen Institute of Interaction Design) and has a very unique perspective but pegs himself a “Frugal Digital.” The emerging technology in the mobile phone market is very fascinating and expands from apps that are useful in many categories.  From health, business, education, and so much more that helps users with relevant issues within these areas.   When Vinay talks about a flashlight, I often think about my flashlight app that I currently have on my I-phone and how useful it is.  Some of technology is getting more and more innovative within the smart phone market. Some of these trends in the smart phone world are the following:

1)     High definition screens

2)   Quad processors

3)   Near-field communications (NFC)

(Ricknas, 2012).

Our think tank should focus on the emerging technology within the mobile market and the expansion of mobile app development.
